Capacitive proximity sensors are electronic transducers which generate an output signal when any type of material (wood, metal, plastic, granular and powder products etc.) enter their sensing area, without coming into direct contact with the sensor. The sensors are enclosed in a threaded cylindrical case with fixing brackets and are available with many different mechanical and electrical features. Models with instantaneous outputs or time delayed outputs (up to 15 minutes) are available and with either a cable or connector plug.
